Congratulations to our Blackheath field hockey players on wrapping up the season!
It was all fun and no dull moment at the club all season with the entry of players 6 years old and above. The kids were really delighted and enjoyed practice very much, showed remarkable enthusiasm in the game. The club season opened with registration of scores of new boys hence it was a major feat with the male players between 6 -14 years old as they became ultimately more than the girls. That is not to say the girls didn’t get to show their skills, in fact, with the zeal in which they played, every practice wasn’t to be missed. The team did their best, learned various techniques, improved their physical skills and improved their hockey skills. The club visited several prominent places, held different interesting events and our 6 years old female field hockey players had the opportunity to attend Olympic training events as well as watched the awesome game the U.S Women’s Olympic field hockey team played against India Women’s team albeit the result favored the Indians. Definitely a fun season, we’ll miss our current members during the break! The season is over and another season is being ushered in, we are looking forward to welcoming new members and introducing new curricular activities at different levels.
